ASPLOS Tutorial 2025 - Session 4

In this session we will introduce several of the plugins and features recently introduced to ILLIXR.

Remote Assisted XR

ILLIXR supports several modular offloading components. We will introduce the most recent of the features, including plugins to remotely render a scene.

Hand Tracking

The hand tracking plugin gives ILLIXR the ability to determine the position of hands, fingers, and joints seen in images. If depth information is available, or depth can be calculated, the resulting 3D coordinates will be in real-world coordinates, based on the origin position given at startup.
